I now feel like a capable cable knitter. Towards the end of this project, I stopped using the cable needle for the right and left crosses. This not only made the knitting go faster, it made doing a right cross easier so I now don't look for patterns without them. I also was finding it very awkward to do a cross involving a purl stitch off the cable needle. By ditching the needle, these became much easier too. I really want to start a sweater, but I'm concerned the hot weather will bog me down and I'll lose my motivation to continue.
