Yesterday I did something that I have avoided since I started quilting. I always thought curved seams would be difficult and frustrating but to my surprise they aren't that bad. I used Marti Michelll's Perfect Patchwork Templates and I think they contributed to making the process so manageable. Here is a picture of the two blocks I started with from leftovers in my stash. The other picture is an amazing quilt I saw on Google images that I want to make a version of in the future. Next on my new skill agenda is paper piecing to be able to make mariner's compasses and New York beauties. Books are on the way from Amazon!
