A colleague of mine at Mendham High named Barbara Pagnotta made this beautiful quilt. She has a beach house in Kiowa, South Carolina and she is going to hang it in the house. It was paper pieced and hand quilted. I love so many things about it -- the orange accents that really pop, the variety of blue and green beachy fabrics that she chose, the one turtle that overlaps the border and the fact that sea turtles are one of my favorite creatures. Barbara made it to commemorate participating in some kind of turtle related event in Kiowa. I also thought the turtle shaped label shown below that she made for the back was a fabulous idea! Kudos to Barbara and her awesome turtles!
