This is the result of my very first attempt at paper piecing. I think it came out pretty good with only 2 minor mistakes. One seam allowance is a tiny bit short and I forgot to trim one seam allowance. I got the pattern and directions from Pat Sloan's "I Can't Believe I'm Quilting Beyond the Basics." After I make 4 of these into a pillow, I'm pretty confident I'll be ready for Mariner's Compass and New York Beauties!
